The use (i) of a compound of formula 2 wherein R<SUP>3 </SUP>and R<SUP>4 </SUP>independently of one another represent a C<SUB>2</SUB>-C<SUB>4</SUB>-alkyl or -alkenyl radical or (ii) of a mixture consisting of or comprising: at least one such compound of formula 2 as well as at least one compound of formula 1 and/or at least one compound of formula 3, wherein R<SUP>1</SUP>, R<SUP>2</SUP>, R<SUP>3</SUP>, R<SUP>4</SUP>, R<SUP>5 </SUP>and R<SUP>6 </SUP>independently of one another represent a C<SUB>2</SUB>-C<SUB>4</SUB>-alkyl or -alkenyl radical, as a fragrance or flavouring is described.
