PURPOSE:To easily set a filter at the partition face of mold without any gap by arranging the ceramic filter at inside of dent part caved from the partition face of mold, abutting a core on the corner part of filter and fixing the core on the same face as the partition surface. CONSTITUTION:The mold is composed of a cope 1 and a drag 2 having dent part 3 for runner. The ceramic filter 5 is inlaid into the dent part 3 under condition of caving it from the partition face X-X in the dent part 3 of the drag 2. On the surface of filter 5 positioning at the tip of molten metal flow, the core 6 is abutted on the corner part positioning near the partition face X-X as stretching on the runner. The surface 61 of core 6 is brought into closely contact with the surface of filter and the surface 62 is made to the same face with the partition face X-X and also these both ends are fixed as inlaying into the notching part 7 of dent part 3. Under condition, the cope 1 is put on the drag 2, and then the partition face X-X is easily brought into closely contact with each other and the molten metal flowed into the dent part 3 from a hole 4 is all passed through the ceramic filter 5. In this way, the ceramic filter 5 is easily set. |
