The system has oxynitride sensor for producing an oxynitride signal in a waste gas and a control module communicating with a cam phaser. The control module receives the oxynitride signal, and computes an oxynitride level in the waste gas according to the signal. The cam phaser is adjusted to obtain a rotation position of an expected oxynitride level emitted from a motor, when an oxynitride level is bigger than a predetermined value range. A rotation position value is placed based on the rotation position to store in the storage installation, when oxynitride level is in the range.
