An air conditioner is provided to perform electrostatic atomization without maintenance by controlling RPM of a cooling fan on the basis of values detected from a room temperature thermistor and an interior humidity sensor. An air conditioner comprises a peltier element, a discharge electrode, a voltage generating unit, an earth. The discharge electrode makes water that has been generated by the peltier element as mist ions. The voltage generating unit applies voltage to the discharge electrode to generate mist ions. The earth applies the voltage to the ground.
