PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound diagnostic system and method for displaying a Doppler spectrum image, acquiring Doppler spectrum data in the highest speed repeat period to compute a spectral Doppler component, and storing the same, and displaying a Doppler spectrum image according to a sweep speed selected by a user. SOLUTION: This ultrasound diagnostic system includes: a period setting unit operable to set a repeat period for computing spectral Doppler components from ultrasound data obtained by transmitting/receiving ultrasound signals to/from a target object; a Doppler spectrum data acquiring unit 320; a storage unit 330 operable to store the Doppler spectrum data; a user input unit operable to receive sweep speed information from a user; a data adjusting unit 350 operable to compare the repeat set period with the selected sweep speed and adjust the Doppler spectrum data based on the comparison result; and a display unit 360 operable to display a Doppler spectrum image based on the adjusted Doppler spectrum data.
