PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a highly reliable steering control device for a vehicle by informing a driver of the actual condition of a steering wheel and the road surface during driving of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The steering control device for the vehicle is provided with: a control means equipped with a steering amount calculating means for determining the steering amount of the steering wheel based on a steering angle detected by a road surface condition detecting means for detecting the road surface condition based on vehicle information, and a steering angle detecting means; and a display device including a first display means for displaying at least the steering direction and the steering amount of the steering wheel, and a second display means for displaying the road surface condition.
