PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfection device, facilitating attachment and detachment to and from an air conditioner, and easily performing maintenance work. SOLUTION: This disinfection device 150 is fitted to an opening part 20d of a casing 20 for an air conditioner including an indoor heat exchanger 21 and a blowing fan 22 to thereby disinfect the air sucked in the interior of the casing 20. The device includes a base plate 3 for blocking up the opening part 20d, wherein an electrolytic water generating part 5 for electrolyzing water to generate electrolytic water is disposed on one face 3B of the base plate 3, and an air disinfecting part 4 for bringing the electrolytic water supplied through an electrolytic water injection tube 52 from the electrolytic water generating part 5 into contact with the above air is disposed on the other face 3A of the base plate 3.
