PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a deterioration in the hydrophilicity of a surface of a wiper. SOLUTION: A wiper blade 201 with a plate shape for wiping a nozzle surface of an inkjet head is fixed to a movable carriage. A photocatalytic layer 203 is formed on the surface of the wiper blade 201. The photocatalytic layer 203 is formed on the surface of the wiper blade 201. The photocatalytic layer 203 includes a contact surface which is brought into contact with the nozzle surface 2a when the nozzle surface 2a is cleaned with the wiper blade 201. A movable carriage driving mechanism makes the movable carriage moved so that the wiper blade 201 can be moved along the nozzle surface, in the state of bringing the photocatalytic layer 203 of the wiper blade 201 into contact with the nozzle surface.
