PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine and output an illegal copy prevention pattern in an arbitrary range on image data, and to read or output only a range designated by the illegal copy prevention pattern. SOLUTION: The image processor includes: a pattern detection part 2a for detecting an illegal copy prevention pattern; and a pattern range detection part 2b for detecting the range of the illegal copy prevention pattern. When the illegal copy prevention pattern printed in an arbitrary range is detected by the pattern detection part 2a, the validity/invalidity of copy with respect to the detected range is decided by a processing content decision part 2c. An image within the range in which the illegal copy prevention pattern is formed is output from an image output part as a black solid image or a void image according to the decision result of the decision means, and copy is inhibited.
