PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy load tire improving the durability of a bead portion by suppressing pulling-off of a ply cord, and preventing the generation of poor adhesion with the ply cord even if bead cover rubber contacts with the ply cord, in a heavy load tire arranged with the bead cover rubber between a carcass ply and a bead core. SOLUTION: In the heavy load tire, electron beam irradiation is carried out on the bead cover rubber. The bead cover rubber has a Mooney viscosity ML<SB>1+4</SB>(130°C) of not less than 85 at the time of tire molding, and includes a steel cord adhesive agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
