The invention relates to a multifunctional layer on textile fibres and sheet materials for active ingredient absorption and release, comprising a first phase (I), made from at least one lipophilic water-insoluble compound. At least one active ingredient (S) is included in said first phase (I), the phase forming a storage medium therefor. The first phase (I) is surrounded by a first membrane (M1), the membrane (M1) being permeable to lipophilic and non-dissociated hydrophilic materials. The multifunctional layer further comprises at least one second phase (II), in the form of a further hydrophilic membrane (M2) and which absorbs water, wherein the release speed of the included active ingredients may be controlled by the make up of the second phase (II). At least one further third phase (III), made up of ampiphilic components with fatty groups and/or perfluorinated hydrocarbon groups, forms a barrier layer to the air. Methods for producing composites using the multifunctional layer are disclosed, permitting a recharging of the multifunctional layer with essentially lipophilic active substances. The release of the active substances to the skin with textiles worn near the skin provided with the above can thus be controlled. |
