The valve (1) has a single-piece valve housing base body (17) with a circular sealant recess (100) at a hydraulic-sided end of a central armature chamber. The armature chamber has a sealant (102) for sealing electric components (9, 31) of the valve against a hydraulic fluid, in particular a fluid residing under high pressure. The sealant is inserted into the valve housing base body, where the sealant manufactures a fluid barrier between the base body and the armature chamber.
