A connector is provided to caulk a metal cover strongly by an insulating housing and use the metal cover in fixing a substrate. A connector(1) includes a tube-type shell(20), a housing(40), and plural terminals. The tube-type shell has a first opening and a second opening. The housing is in the shell. The plural terminals are held in the housing. The connector is electrically connected to the other connector inserted from the first opening. The housing has a housing body portion, a holding portion, and a protruded portion(43). The housing body portion closes the second opening of the shell. The holding portion is extended to the first opening from the housing body portion to hold the plural terminals. The protruded portion is extended to the second opening from the rear of the housing body portion. The shell has first and second tongues(33,34). The first and second tongues are extended in a direction perpendicular to a fitting direction of the other connector. Each of the first and second tongues is caulked to the protruded portion from an upper side and a lower side of the protruded portion to cover the protruded portion. The second tongue has a substrate connecting portion(38) for connecting with a substrate(70).
