A method for displaying a mobile widget set on an idle screen according to set time and a mobile communication terminal are provided to offer functions displayed on the idle screen by setting mobile widgets in accordance with each time slot and on a daily basis within the idle screen of the terminal, thereby displaying various mobile widgets on the idle screen according to a user' schedule. A widget manager(110) comprises as follows. A particular time information setup unit(111) inputs particular time information on a selected mobile widget from a user, and sets the mobile widget so that the set mobile widget is matched with the particular time information. A widget selector(112) selects the mobile widget to be displayed, by monitoring mobile widgets where the particular time information is set. An idle screen display unit(113) controls so that the selected mobile widget is displayed on an idle screen. A widget engine(120) loads and executes one or more than one mobile widget to display the widget on an idle screen, and processes an event of the mobile widget.
