<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suitably reducing power consumption while taking other factors except light emission efficiency into consideration when reducing the power consumption using a light emitting device of a color superior in light emission efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device includes a storage means of storing conversion information for converting first to third pieces of grayscale information constituting image data and corresponding to first to third colors into first to fourth pieces of grayscale information corresponding to first to fourth colors, and first to fourth light emitting device circuits constituted including first to fourth light emitting devices emitting light beams of first to fourth colors and first to fourth driving transistors connected to the first to fourth light emitting devices in series. A source voltage applied to the first to the fourth light emitting device circuits is set to a value relatively lower than a voltage needed to make the fourth light emitting device emit light according to a maximum grayscale. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
