<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure discharge lamp and a lighting fixture using the same capable of having low fading-out voltage by improvement of a halogen getter and showing high light-emitting efficiency from the beginning of lighting and maintaining the high light-emitting efficiency for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: The high-pressure discharge lamp comprises a translucent ceramic airtight container 1, a pair of electrodes 2, 2 sealed in the inside of the translucent ceramic airtight container, and a sealed-in object consisting of starting gas, metal halide including at least thulium (Tm), sodium (Na), and (thallium) Tl, mercury, and metal thulium and satisfying a numerical formula: 0.03≤A/B≤0.16 as a molar ratio A/B, provided the number of mols of metal thulium is A (mols) and the number of mols of the whole metal halide to be sealed in is B (mols). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
