<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the lowering of the durability of a torque transmission member for transmitting torque from a crankshaft to a camshaft through a valve timing adjusting device. <P>SOLUTION: This valve timing adjusting device comprises a first rotating body 10 to which a timing chain 15 serving as the torque transmission member is applied for rotating; a second rotating body 18 connected to the camshaft for rotating; a guiding rotating body 40 having a guide groove 44; and first and second links 52, 53 sharing a movable shaft 56 guided in the guide groove 44 according to the rotation of the guiding rotating body 40 and adjusting the relative phase between the rotating bodies 10, 18 by the movement of the movable shaft 56. The first rotating body 10 has first and second opposed parts 11a, 13a opposed to each other in the axial direction. The second rotating body 18 has a projection 19 projecting in the radial direction and thicker than the first link 52 in the axial direction. The projection 19, the second link 53, and the guiding rotating body 40 are held between the opposed parts 11a, 13a in this order in the axial direction.
