PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of suppressing the deterioration of the amusement in the game machine variably displaying symbols by a plurality of operation-start holes. SOLUTION: Generally, this game machine zooms first ornamental symbols on a liquid crystal display device 50 to variably display the first ornamental symbols thereon, and reducedly displays second ornamental symbols in a reduced display area 50c of the liquid crystal display device 50 to variably display the second ornamental symbols thereon. In a case of determining to execute a special performance when starting the variable display of the second ornamental symbols, the game machine controls to display the first ornamental symbols in a first display area 50a of the liquid crystal display device 50 and the second ornamental symbols in a second display area 50b of the liquid crystal display device 50. This constitution can provide an illusion of increase in an operation-start memory, when the second ornamental symbols are changed from the reducedly displayed state to a zoomed state, so as to improve the amusement of the game.
