摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform excellent light source detection irrelevantly to the image formation position of a subject image and the size of the subject image and further to perform high-precision focus control by reducing output variation of a light receiving element for light source detection due to unevenness of an illuminance distribution in the light receiving element. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 has a pair of image formation optical systems 201a and 201b which image pieces of luminous flux from image pickup optical systems 12 to 14, a pair of light receiving elements 104a and 104b which receive pieces of luminous flux from the pair of image formation optical systems and have mutually different spectral sensitivity characteristics, and a detecting means 30 of generating information regarding the light source based upon outputs from the pair of light receiving elements. Each of the light receiving elements has a light shield member 10 which reduces variation in output due to variation in light reception quantity corresponding to a light reception position generated by the image pickup optical systems and image formation optical systems.
