PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate proper transmission without a sense of incongruity by preventing dispersion of transmission time on transmitting by switching a switching mechanism. SOLUTION: The controller of the transmission for the vehicle is provided with a plurality of driving mechanisms for setting a predetermined gear ratio, the switching mechanism enabling each driving mechanism to selectively transmit torque, a plurality of differential mechanisms, for outputting power to a driving shaft, to which power is transmitted from a power source, a plurality of reaction force mechanisms for selectively generating reaction force for reaction elements of the differential mechanisms and auxiliary synchronization mechanisms for providing torque for the reaction force mechanisms. The controller is provided with rotation number difference estimation means S13, S17, S18 for estimating difference between the rotation number on starting transmission of the reaction force elements connected to the switching mechanisms and the rotation number at transmission completion in the case of executing transmission for switching the switching mechanisms in a release state to an engaging state and auxiliary synchronization mechanism control means S17, S18, S19 for controlling the auxiliary synchronization mechanisms based on the difference of the rotation numbers.
