PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial mount type caliper to be assembled in an adjustable condition and kept in a positive fixed condition. SOLUTION: In the radial mount type caliper for a disc brake device, a fastening bolt 60 is inserted through mounting holes 40a, 40b of a caliper supporting part 32 to fix the caliper 30 to a mounting seat 20 fixed to a vehicle. Mounting holes 40a, 40b are oblong holes whose major axes are arranged in the axial direction of a rotor 10. A positioning means is provided for positioning the fastening bolt 60 to be arranged in the oblong holes while shifting wall portions of the oblong holes located in the direction of crossing the major axes, to the direction of separating them from the fastening bolt 60 and to the direction of pulling them to the fastening bolt 60.
