PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake air cooling device for a gas turbine cooling the intake air of a gas turbine by a means of smaller size and lower cost than conventional devices. SOLUTION: The intake air cooling device 200 for the gas turbine includes filler 400 arranged in an intake air passage of the gas turbine 100 and having predetermined thickness in an intake air direction. Water is poured in the filler 400 and water flowing out from a lower part of the filler 400 is collected by water collection vessels 220A, 220B, 310. Water collected to the water collection vessel 310 is pumped up to a section above the filler 400 by a pump 28 via a strainer cap 270. The pumped up water is made evenly flow inside of the filler 400 from the section above the filler 400 through a plurality of draining ports 420 provided on the water supply vessel 210A, 210B. Water is circulated in such a manner and is evaporated by intake air of the gas turbine 100. Consequently, intake air is cooled by action of evaporation heat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
