PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein operability is degraded, and thereby throughput is reduced, since a buffer plate is manually adjusted to a predetermined position, and an opening/closing operation of a suction shutter is also necessary, when conventionally paper is conveyed to a postprocessor. SOLUTION: A paper suction mechanism conveys paper with a paper conveyor belt. When a buffer plate is equipped, a buffer plate angle detection means is provided, an angle of the buffer plate is detected, and based on a difference between the buffer plate angle and a predetermined buffer plate adjustment position, the paper conveyance by the paper suction mechanism is accelerated and decelerated so as to solve the problem.
