PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely retain and connect a gem at the connecting end of an ornament for which many gems such as pearls are connected with a wire and the end part of the wire. SOLUTION: The through-hole 31 of the wire 5 and a fitting hole 32 for fitting the cylindrical part 10 of end parts (terminal end fastener) 1 of a diameter larger than that are concentrically formed on the gem 3e at the connecting end, a tapered part 52 is formed leaving a prescribed part 51 on the terminal end side at the end part of the wire 5, the end part of the wire 5 passes through the through-hole 31 of the gem 3e and the tapered part 52 is positioned inside the fitting hole 32. Then, when the cylindrical part 10 of the end parts 1 is fitted to the fitting hole 32, the end part of the wire 5 is fitted to the inner peripheral surface 12, the part projecting outwards of a pair of locking pieces 16 is pressurized inwards by the inner wall 32a of the fitting hole 32, and the locking pieces 16 are pushed and bent so as to enter the tapered part 52 of the wire 5 and lock the wire 5.
