GAS APPLIANCE MONITORING APPARATUS

A gas appliance monitoring apparatus which allows monitoring levels to be changed for each gas appliance. The gas appliance monitoring apparatus comprises a flow rate measurement means (17) for measuring the gas flow rate, a gas shutoff valve (2c) for shutting off a gas flow path in the event of defect, an information storage means (10b) for storing various information based on the measurement results from the flow rate measurement means (17), a wireless module (11) for transmitting/receiving the information to/from a plurality of destination units, and a communication switch-over means (10c) for switching the communication frequency bandwidth depending on the destination units. The wireless module (11), which is housed within a gas meter (2) in a manner integrated with a control circuit board (10) constituting the flow rate measurement means (17), has at least the frequency bandwidth for communication with a base station (14) and that for communication with a plurality of gas appliances, and sends the operation start signal detected by an appliance detection means (22) of a specific gas appliance as the appliance information using an appliance wireless module (11d), while detecting or changing the continuous service time of the specific gas appliance on the basis of the appliance information.
