PURPOSE:To perform no-load insertion of a card and have slide of contact surface after insertion by furnishing a connector in its inside with a cam block for contact opening and closing. CONSTITUTION:A supporting surface 6 for an inserted card 4 is formed from an opening of an inlet hole 2 of a cam block 5 and its mating surface, and a flat cam surface 7 for contact opening and closing is formed from the contact 3 of cam block 5 and its mating surface, and the cam block 5 is borne by a connector body 1 with movability along a slant locus. The cam block 5, contact 3, and card 4 shall work in cooperation so that downward slant motion of the cam block 5 causes opening action of the contact 3, that upward slant motion of the same in its first half causes heaving of the card 4 and closing action of the contact 3, and that in the later half causes continuous closing action of the contact 3 and heaving of the card 4. Thus a series of actions of contact 3 such as opening, closing, and sliding for no-load insertion and contacting of the card 4 can be done certainly.
