<p>PURPOSE:To culture a hair-bulb of even a keratinized state and having a proliferation and redifferentiaton capability and to utilize the hair-bulb in the research and development of a hair-growing agent, by treating a skin including hair-bulb attached with epidermal and/or hypodermal cells with an enzyme, separating the hair-bulb from the treated liquid and subjecting to tissue culture. CONSTITUTION:A skin including hair-bulb attached with epidermal and/or hypodermal cells is collected from mouse, rat, Guinea pig or human. The skin is treated with an enzyme (e.g. collagenase or trypsin) to break the bond between epidermal cell and hair and between hypodermal cell and hair. The obtained suspension composed of epidermal and/or hypodermal cells and hair-bulbs is treated e.g. by centrifugal separation to separate the hair-bulb. The hair-bulb cell is cultured by tissue culture in a culture liquid added with bovine fetus serum. The cultured cell is used in the fundamental research of hair, etc.</p> |
