INK FOR COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which has color unevenness and density unevenness suppressed at respective parts and also has superior uniformity of characteristics among solid bodies, ink for a color filter of an ink jet system suitably used to manufacture the color filter, an image display device equipped with the color filter, and electronic equipment.

SOLUTION: The ink for the color filter is used to manufacture the color filter by the ink jet system, and contains a coloring agent and a liquid medium. Then the ink for the color filter is characterized in that a viscosity variation quantity R per 1°C represented by an expression (I) R=(ηmax-ηmin)/6 is ≤0.15 mPa s/°C, where ηmax[mPa a] is a maximum value of viscosity within a temperature range of 20 to 26°C and ηmin[mPa s] is a minimum value of viscosity within the range of 20 to 26°C.
