<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically save electricity consumption by recovering harmful mercury from a waste phosphor powder contained in a waste fluorescent tube at a low temperature in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: Mercury is recovered by promoting evaporation of mercury by stirring a phosphor powder in a rotary kiln or stirring the powder with a stirring apparatus and evaporating mercury at a temperature from 250°C to 300°C for 2 to 6 hours or evaporating mercury at a temperature from 550°C to 650°C for 1 to 2 hours and cooling the evaporated gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
