PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing method for reinforcing a section, where a closing rib and a horizontal rib cross each other, of a steel floor slab comprising the bridge-axis-direction closing rib provided on the bottom surface side of a deck plate, and the horizontal rib provided in a direction perpendicular to the bridge axis. SOLUTION: This reinforcing method is employed for reinforcing the steel floor slab 100 which comprises the deck plate 101, the vertical rib in the direction L of the bridge axis, provided on the bottom surface side of the deck plate 101, and the horizontal rib 20 provided in the direction W perpendicular to the bridge axis. In a scallop closing and reinforcing method, an L-shaped angle 50 makes a bottom surface 10b of the U-rib 10 and the horizontal rib 20 connected together astride at least a part of a scallop 42 of the bottom surface 10b of the U-rib 10 in a section where the U-rib 10 and the horizontal rib 20 cross each other.
