PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which effectively avoids the occurrence of beading and white patches and forms high-resolution images at high speeds. SOLUTION: The linear inkjet recording device or a serial inkjet recording device has a means to control resolution in a printing paper feeding direction in accordance with the ink absorbency of the printing paper, convert and print image data in accordance with the resolution in the printing paper feeding direction and the resolution in a main scanning direction.
