PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw fastening machine capable of giving a good feel in the engagement of a clutch. SOLUTION: In this screw fastening machine, a middle clutch body is placed in a rotatable and axially movable manner between a driving shaft member 7 and a spindle (output shaft member) 11. The middle clutch body and the spindle 11 are mounted with a clutch mechanism. Further, the screw fastening machine is provided with means for axially moving the middle clutch body toward the spindle 11 by relative rotation of the middle clutch body and the driving shaft member 7 generated by the winding of a clutch spring 10 during fastening a screw. The middle clutch body is constructed from a first middle clutch body 80 and a second middle clutch body 81.
