PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper preventing soiling of the skin due to excrement. SOLUTION: This disposable diaper 1 has a skin-contact sheet piece 32b in the inner face side of a liquid permeable top sheet 32. The skin-contact sheet piece 32b is formed with opening parts 38 and 39 for passing the excrement toward the top sheet 32 in its front/rear direction A, and the both sides 40 of the sheet piece 32b in the respective both sides in the width direction B of the opening parts 38 and 39 are attached with elastic members 37 extending in the front/rear direction A in a stretched state. Leakage prevention banks 58 are formed on the outside in the width direction B of the skin-contact sheet piece 32b, and the side parts 40 of the skin-contact sheet piece 32b are joined with the leakage prevention banks 58 between the base edge parts and the free edge parts of the leakage prevention banks 58.
