摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of radio noise due to static electricity occurring in tires while preventing corrosion due to battery formation on the contact face with a knuckle in a wheel bearing device mounted to a knuckle made of an aluminum alloy for weight reduction. <P>SOLUTION: A wheel bearing device is provided with an external member 1, an internal member 2, and double-row rolling bodies 3, 3 interposed between opposing rolling surfaces 4, 5 of the internal/external members 1, 2. The external member 1 has a vehicle-body mounting flange 1a on its outer periphery so as to be fixed to an aluminum-alloy made knuckle 14. The internal member 2 has a wheel-mounting flange 2a. An electrically-insulating coating layer 17 is provided on the outer diameter face part, which becomes the contact face with the knuckle 14, of the external member 1 and on the side face of the vehicle-body mounting flange 1a. A seal 7 on the out-board side and a seal 8 on the in-board side hermetically seal annular spaces at the end parts of a bearing.
