PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying a gene enabling a drug toxicity reaction to be predicted, and to provide a method for predicting such a drug toxicity reaction.
SOLUTION: The method for identifying a gene enabling a drug toxicity reaction to be predicted is provided, involving the following process: based on the correlation between the maximum amount of daily use of a drug and its maximum blood level, the maximum blood level corresponding to the central point of each of the regression lines within the ranges of less than 10 mg, 10 mg or greater but less than 400 mg, and 400 mg or greater in the maximum amount of daily use of the drug±10% is defined as the drug's optimum exposure level. The method for predicting such a drug toxicity reaction comprises the following process: human-derived cells are exposed to the above test drug in an optimum exposure level determined according to the range of the maximum amounts of its daily use in human, variations of the cells' gene expression are detected, and the resultant data are analyzed by a statistical technique, wherein the optimum drug exposure level and the gene are those determined by the first method, respectively.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
|
