<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both of a fast processing speed and high classification accuracy, and speed up a classification processing of a category. <P>SOLUTION: A category classification apparatus includes a first classifier (an overall sub classifier included in an overall classifier 30F) and a second classifier (a partial sub classifier included in a partial image classifier 30G). The first classifier specifies that an image belongs to a certain category, based on a probability information indicating a probability that the image belongs to the certain category. The second classifier specifies that the image belongs to the certain category, and that does not perform specifying of the image, when the probability indicated by the probability information is within a probability range, specified by a probability threshold, for which it can be decided that the image does not belong to the certain category. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
