<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector having a card jump-out prevention mechanism capable of surely preventing the jump-out of an IC card although it has a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This card connector is provided with: a base member; a cover member forming a card housing space by being stacked on the base member; a plurality of contacts; and an ejection mechanism used for ejecting an IC card and including an operation member having a reception part capable of shutting on the IC card, and a coil spring elastically supporting the operation member. The rear side of the one-side sidewall of the base member allowing the operation member to move is formed as a large-width rear end wall; the rear side of the side surface of the operation member facing the one-side sidewall is formed as an inclined surface; an engaging projection engaged with an engaging recessed part of the IC card is formed at the rear end of the side surface facing the card housing space of the operation member. The card connector is further provided with a movement prevention mechanism preventing the rear end of the operation member from moving toward the one-side side wall when the rear end surface of the operation member is in contact with the large-width rear end wall of the one-side sidewall. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
