<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a tape without using a magazine in an input-output device with a changer. <P>SOLUTION: The input-output device with a changer is a magnetic tape device 11 provided with a drive 112 for loading a magnetic tape, writing data and reading the data, a magazine 114 for storing a plurality of magnetic tapes, and a changer 113 for carrying a magnetic tape between a drive and the magazine, and is configured so as to start operation as a changer type, notifying a host system 12 that the magazine is set in the changer when detecting that a magnetic tape is loaded to the drive, and notify the host system that mounting is completed when the changer receives a mounting instruction to mount the magnetic tape from the magazine to the drive from the host system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
