PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic monomer which satisfies the requirement of low volatility and has a refractive index higher than those of conventional ones. SOLUTION: The acrylic monomer is represented by formula (1) [wherein n is an integer of 1-10] and shows a weight loss of less than 5 wt.% at 200°C when heated at a rate of 10°C/min in the atmosphere.
