PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant adhesive composition which excels in soldering heat resistance, adhesion after soldering treatment, and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant adhesive composition mainly comprises, as essential components, (A) a solvent-soluble polyamide resin having a group reactive with an epoxy group in the following component (B) and a sum of the acid value and the amine value of not less than 5, (B) a nonhalogen-based epoxy resin having 2 or more epoxy groups in the molecule, (C) a curing agent, and (D) a polyphosphoric acid melamine-melam-melem double salt.
