PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylene sulfide resin composition by using the polyarylene sulfide having a high purity obtained by an economical and simple method, excellent in mechanical strength and showing the less amount of gas production. SOLUTION: This polyarylene resin composition is characterized by blending (B)≤500 pts.wt. fibrous or non-fibrous state filler, and/or (C) 0.05 pt.wt. to 10 pts.wt. compound having≥1 kind of a group selected from an epoxy group, an amino group, an isocyanate group, a hydroxy group, a mercapto group and a ureido group based on (A) 100 pts.wt. polyarylene sulfide, and having≥10,000 weight-average molecular weight of the polyarylene sulfide (A) and also extremely less weight reduction on heating the composition.
