PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed cassette capable of reducing the noise attributable to vibration by effectively suppressing the vibration of the paper feed cassette. SOLUTION: The paper feed cassette comprises a paper feed roller 15 for delivering a paper sheet P loaded on a paper sheet loading unit 14, and a friction pad 16 to be pressed against the paper feed roller 15 to prevent any double feed of the paper sheet P. The friction pad 16 is urged to the paper feed roller 15 side by an elastic member 18 via a pad base 17 to support the friction pad 16. The elastic member 18 comprises a hollow rubber bag body 33 and a liquid-like substance to fill the inside of the rubber bag body 33. A projection part 29 in contact with the rubber bag body 33 is projected from a lower side of the pad base 17.
