PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tester for creating a test program without an effect of a connected measuring instrument, and easily dealing with the measuring instrument. SOLUTION: In the tester for testing a performance of a to-be-tested object, a computer 1 executes a test program file 20, and the measuring instrument 2 is connected to the computer, and controlled and operated in accordance with the test program file 20. The test program file 20 is described by a standard command independent of the used measuring instrument, and provided with a used instrument definition file 19 for defining information on the used measuring instrument.
