The household-washing machine has a dispensing device (8) for quantities of washing agents (19) e.g. powdery washing agents, to be deposited in chambers. A draining side of the chambers is provided for a water-washing agent-mixture. Dispensing pipelines (20-22), outlets (23), a circulating pipeline (24), a circulating pump (25), a two way-valve, a cylinder, a piston and a spring are provided for removing deposits of washing agent residues that are not dispensed from the chambers by supplying additional water. An independent claim is also included for a method for dispensing and cleaning a dispensing device by a washing agent.
