SCREENING METHOD FOR AGENT FOR PREVENTION OR TREATMENT OF OBESITY USING HOMOZYGOTE MOUSE TRANSFECTED WITH HBX GENE

A screening method of an obesity treatment/prevention agent using a homozygote mouse transfected with HBx gene that is known as an inducing factor of liver cancer. A screening method of an obesity treatment/prevention agent comprises the steps of: administrating a candidate agent of obesity treatment/prevention to all or part of a homozygote mouse transfected with HBx gene; measuring an index value that is correlated with obesity; and comparing the mouse to which the candidate substance was administered with a control group to which the candidate substance has not been administered, so as to sort out a candidate substance that significantly changes the index value in the mouse to which the candidate substance has been administered.
