Disclosed is a nucleic acid delivery carrier which can deliver a nucleic acid (e.g., siRNA) into a cell with high efficiency when the nucleic acid is administered to an animal-derived cell or an animal body, and which is less toxic and highly safe. Also disclosed is a nucleic acid delivery compositio n comprising the carrier and a nucleic acid. The nucleic acid delivery carri er comprises a combination of (A) diacylphosphatidyl choline, (B) at least o ne member selected from the group consisting of cholesterol and a derivative thereof, and (C) an aliphatic primary amine. A nucleic acid delivery compos ition can be prepared by mixing the nucleic acid delivery carrier with a nuc leic acid.
