A method for guiding a crossroad course in a car navigation system is provided to allow a driver to easily perceive a traffic lane to turn into at the final crossroad before turning by providing a turning symbol on a map. A method for guiding a crossroad course in a car navigation system comprises the steps of: extracting driving course information to the destination by searching a map DB when a navigation mode is set by inputting the destination and extracting crossroad information on the driving course(206); providing a map screen including surrounding map information for the current position of a vehicle, driving direction information on the driving course, and information about the number of remaining crossroads on a display panel(208); providing information about the number of remaining crossroads on the map screen when the vehicle passes through any one of the remaining crossroads(214); and providing a rotation symbol on the map screen when the vehicle passes the final crossroad(218).
