<p>The object is to allow a vehicle at a constant target cruising speed without making the occupants feel discomfort. A vehicular cruise control apparatus controlling a speed of a vehicle to be at a target cruising speed, the vehicular cruise control apparatus including: a first auxiliary brake (12,13 and/or 14) applying braking force in a stepwise manner to the vehicle; an acceleration detector (25) obtaining acceleration of the vehicle; an auxiliary brake actuator (25) activating the first auxiliary brake (12,13 and/or 14) if the acceleration (α) obtained by the acceleration detector (28) is greater than a first threshold (αTH1); a speed detector (15) obtaining the speed of the vehicle; and a threshold adjustor (27) decreasing the first threshold (αTH1) according to increase of the speed of the vehicle detected by the speed detector (15).</p> |
