PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting control system 11 that can automatically make up a comfortable lighting environment suited for working with a personal computer 20. SOLUTION: The lighting control system 11 has a control terminal 26 to adjust and control the light from a lighting apparatus 13 mounted at a lighting space 12. A sensor device 14 having an illuminance detection function and a human presence detection function is mounted at the lighting space 12. To a central controller 25, the illuminance detection information and the human presence detection information from the sensor device 14 are input, and further the information on the operational status of the personal computer 20 arranged at the lighting space 12 is input. When presence of a human is detected and the personal computer 20 is in an operating state, the central controller 25 adjusts and controls the light from the lighting apparatus 13 using the control terminal 26 to achieve the illuminance suited for working with the personal computer 20.
