RESIN COATING TIN PLATED STEEL SHEET, CAN, AND CAN LID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coating tin plated steel sheet excellent in adhesiveness and corrosion resistance after machining without using a chromate film, a can and a can lid using the same. SOLUTION: The resin coating tin plated steel sheet has plated layers containing tin on both the faces of the steel sheet and chemical conversion films containing phosphorous and tin and free from chrome on the plated layers. A deposition quantity of the chemical conversion films is 1.0 to 50 mg/m2based on the phosphorous deposition quantity, and the atomic ratio Sn/P of tin and phosphorous obtained from the intensities of a P2p peak and a Sn3d peak of the chemical conversion film measured from the surface by an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is 1.0 to 1.5. The resin coating tin plated steel sheet has a silane coupling layer on the chemical conversion films. The deposition quantity of the silane coupling layers is 0.10 to 100 mg/m2based on the Si deposition quantity, and further polyester films not subjected to stretching process is press bonded onto the silane coupling layers.
